Holiday Party was AmaXIng!

Over 32 women were in attendance for the Annual Sisterhood Holiday Party, and it was sensational!  Shout outs to Krista for hosting, Dani for planning, and of course Mirai for being the celebrated sister with her engagement surprise!  And hooray for the big Cookie Decorating Contest winners.  It was a hilarious and delicious treat to have such a fun holiday competition.  :)

HOLIDAY PARTY!

It's that time of year again.  We'll be making a list and checking it twice.  Gonna find out...who's got the best decorated cookie!  :)  Join us, the Alpha Xi Delta Alumnae Association, for our BIGGEST and BEST event of the year - the Annual Sisterhood Holiday Party!

This year surprises include cookie decorating contest with fabulous prizes, a delicious holiday dinner, and a candlelight ceremony!  (Someone's got some big news to share!  Any guesses?!)

Remember, Dinner's free for due paying members and only $5 for non due paying members.

We had a beautiful day at Malibu Family Wines!  Thanks to all the sisters, friends, and significant others who came out and enjoyed the fresh air, charming scenery, and sisters galore during an excellent November Alpha Xi Delta Alumnae Event.

Malibu Family Wines - November 6th

This is going to be an amazing event!  Join Alpha Xi Delta Alum for the Malibu Family Wines wine tasting extravaganza!  Date is set for November 6th, Saturday.  Grab your sisters, friends, boyfriends, or hubbies...anyone over 21 is welcome to join in the deliciousness!   Details coming! 

Summer Picnic Photos!

The summer alumnae picnic was fantastic!  Thanks to all of the gorgeous sisters, fabulous friends, and family members that attended.  Delicioius picnic goodies, Alpha Xi cake, and great conversation was had by all!  Forward any photos you may have to us for sharing and posting, and thanks again for making LA Alpha Xi Alumnae events a treat for all who attend.

Dinner Out with Sisters

It's LA's favorite destination for Food Lovers - the original Farmer's Market!!  Mark your calendars, sisters, we have a dinner date - Thursday October 7th.    We'll meet at 7pm outside of the historic faux "gas station."  Then, we'll head into the market and snag a big table, before running off to the various food stalls and restaurants serving everything from smokin' BBQ to spicy Jambalaya, homemade ice cream to gourmet pizza!  There's something for everyone, so bring some cash and eat what you like!

Reflecting on Founders Day

This year's founders day was a HUGE success, and by HUGE we mean that more than 250 women were in attendance!  That number is over 100 more than was originally expected!  Way to show support for Alpha Xi Delta Southern California!!

The LA Alumnae Association rocked the event with the idea to first start the day in support of our National philanthrophy, Autism Speaks.  Having raised over $10,000, we filled the streets with double blue and gold as we marched towards a cure in the Walk Now for Autism Speaks. 

Immediately following the walk, we gathered in the Justice Center in Pasadena for an incredible Founders Day Brunch.  With sisterhood (and the smell of pink roses) in the air, we enjoyed a beautiful sunny afternoon on the veranda together with alumnae and active members from Los Angeles, Long Beach, San Diego, San Fernando Valley, and beyond!  It was a great day of Alpha Xi Delta!

 
Thanks to all those sisters who attended, and thank you to the sisters who helped to make the event such a success.  Missed the walk or the brunch?  No problem!  We have more events coming this fall that'll bring you plenty of opportunities for philanthropy, dinners out, and fabulous sisterhood outings in LA.

A Welcome from the President

Hi Sisters!

Many people move to LA from other parts of the country, not too unlike moving away to University.  The friendly faces and sense of belonging felt in college are certainly alive and well here in Los Angeles within Alpha Xi Delta.  Looking for that feeling again?  Look no further!  The benefits to be had from joining the LA alumnae association are plentiful.  Here you have the opportunity to:

- Make some new friends, enjoy ladies nights out, and have fun!

- Get involved in Autism Speaks and make a difference in your community

- Make some new career connections

- Explore the city's restaurants, bars, and events with fun new people

- Fulfill your promise to lifetime membership in Alpha Xi Delta

It's easy to get involved:  Add the association on Facebook, Come to as many events as you can (and bring a friend!), Keep up with your Alumnae Association dues, Check back on this site for updates on events, and tell a sister who lives in the area. 

With your help we can work together to have a strong sisterhood here in the City of Angels.  Whether you are from the area or have moved here from somewhere else, my wish for you is that you give this association the opportunity to enrich your life in Los Angeles, the way that it has enriched mine.
